WNBA Still A Thing

Much to the surprise of sports fans everywhere, the Women’s National Basketball Association is still running. According to David Stern, commissioner of the real National Basketball Association, after 15 years of anonymity, the WNBA is continuing its strong tradition of staying out of the limelight and letting the men entertain the masses. Back in 1996, the WNBDA found a niche on the backburner of the sports world and has not since left.

Originally created to please feminists and never meant to be taken seriously, the WNBA players have been sure to not make any Sportscenter highlights in their careers. They ensure this by sticking to their fundamentals, which have been heralded amongst no-name sports journalists everywhere. Thus far, there have only been four players to dunk a basketball, though these sources are being checked due to the extremely minimal witnesses.

In addition to the WNBA still existing, women’s college basketball is also apparently around. These players in collegiate women’s basketball are funnelled to the WNBA by means unknown. Rumors have circulated that these female players are drafted into their respective WNBA teams, though sources also say the likely method is of the classic schoolground “captains” method.

No player could be found for a comment on the 15 years of the WNBA’s existence, nor is there word on any upcoming games in the 2011 season. Many mainstream sports fans aren’t even sure which cities have teams. For more information, check your local feminist sports-enthusiast.
