Last Friday at 2:13 p.m., Jonathon McCollugh of Eversrpings Michigan became the highest bidder for a disfigured Virgin Mary statue that resembles his favorite food.

Jonathon is a grilled cheese enthusiast with an extensive collection of rare and unique grilled cheese paraphernalia.

“I just couldn’t believe that I was the only bidder!” Jonathan exclaimed, “There were dozens of comments doubting whether the statue actually resembled a sandwich, but those non-believers don’t realize the opportunity they passed on.”

He celebrated his victory with a can of tomato soup aged since 1992.

Grilled cheese auctions have surged in popularity in recent years. According to Jonathon, grilled cheese items started off basic with the scraps of celebrities’.

However, the sandwich items grew into more complex variations of containing souls and being part of all worldly possessions being sold by a single man.

Jonathon planned to continue his collection; however, his Paypal account was suspended due to bankruptcy.
