Top-seeded Husker Women’s Basketball Team Does Something-or-other, BUT ONLY 18 DAYS UNTIL THE SPRING GAME!!

The Nebraska women’s basketball team, which made its way through the regular season undefeated and secured a number one seed in the NCAA tournament, did something-or-other this past weekend. Sources indicated that the team was apparently in the second round of the tournament, or something along those lines. However, the football spring game is less than three weeks away.

“While everyone at the athletic department is really proud of our girls for trying their hardest and doing whatever they are doing, we are really getting excited for the return of Husker football with the spring game,” said Athletic Director Tom Osborne.

Sentiment around campus reflects the views of the athletic director. Recently, apparel stores have seen an increase in sales in anticipation of the spring game. In addition, the looming scrimmage seems to have led to an increase in impulse purchases for women’s basketball gear.

“We sold 6 Husker Women’s Basketball shirts last week,” said Ted James, the manager of Huskers Authentic. “That’s up 600 percent from our February totals. Spring game excitement is really rubbing off on whatever the women’s team has been up to.”
