Following the massacre of 72 potential illegal Mexican immigrants just south of the border on Aug. 23, millions of Americans have been forced to recognize and deal with the harrowing plight of the Texas housewife. This horrible tragedy has left 72 families in southern Texas defenseless against such agonies as doing the dishes, the laundry and mowing the lawn.

Most of the major American news outlets initially decided not to report the story where 72 people were brutally gunned down by those who had promised to help them cross to the United States. However, once Americans began to see the toll this brutal act was taking on the upper-middle class of San Antonio, the story began to break.

“I think it is a horrible tragedy,” commented head of News Corp., Rupert Murdoch, “that these women of social stature would be forced to undergo the daily tedium of chores because of an act of senseless violence.”

“Something needs to be done about the immigration issue altogether,” said San Antonio area activist Greg Shear. “I don’t think people understand the hardships and sacrifices these people have to endure by not having a housekeeper around. Did you know that gardening is the number one cause of broken nails in the Dominion area of San Antonio?”

Many concerned citizens are outraged over the lack of reporting and general apathy of Americans regarding the murders.

“I just don’t understand how the news media and Americans in general can turn a blind eye to this situation,” remarked Texas native Ashley Simmons. “My heart goes out to the families of these suburban housewives who are suffering. These women are wives and mothers, it effects more than just them.”

Bravely, these women are persevering through this horrible crisis.

“I am just so mad that this sort of thing could be allowed to happen,” said Julia Wainwright, a San Antonio native who lost her housekeeper in the shooting. “We’ll see if I ever let Lupita go home to visit her family ever again, that’s for sure.”
