Waste receptacles and soiled walkways around campus reportedly have gladly embraced the new morality campaign, Show Your Red, created by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Student Affairs.

New and returning Husker students are encouraged to show their Big Red pride by demonstrating citizenship, dependability, commitment, respect, caring, and open-mindedness. In return for “being caught” doing the right thing, do-gooders will receive a shiny badge for their new, big-kid backpacks.

“We’ve been thrilled with the response to the Show Your Red drive so far,” gushed one Student Affairs staff member.

“Trashcans on every corner are demonstrating their openness to accept others’ ideas. Our ideas! Specifically, our fliers!”

“Show Your Red? Is that like Take Back Gameday? Yeah! We need to get the Husker spirit back! Go Big Red! Go Big Red!” said Freshman Chelsea Digger.

When asked where students could learn more about Show Your Red, an unnamed Student Affairs representative responded, “Man, we don’t even know. Check the litter on the sidewalks. It’s in there somewhere.”
