Niles Paul's New Shoes

Logic would tell you that Niles Paul’s stellar spring is a product of his improved lower-body flexibility, or the near-ceaseless hours spent alongside Receivers Coach, Ted Gilmore, breaking down film. Gilmore, however, insists that the maturation of his star pupil can be solely attributed to the new pair of cleats Paul picked up from Scheels last weekend.

“I’ve coached receivers for 20 years, but I’ve never seen a receiver with better shoes,” Gilmore admitted. “You know what the difference between Randy Moss and Brandon Stokley is? Their gloves. Just kidding. It’s the motherfucking shoes.”

Paul described the new shoes as having a synthetic leather upper that is both lightweight and durable, with soles that deliver lightweight cushioning for every step.

“Man, I’m telling you, these cleats got a synthetic leather upper that is both lightweight and durable, with soles that deliver lightweight cushioning for every step,” Paul said.

Niles’ new shoes have given cornerback Alfonzo Dennard headaches throughout the spring.
“It seems like half the time I line up on Niles, I wind up just not playing coverage because I’m just mugging those shoes,” Dennard confessed. “I might steal 'em.”
