New Roommate Hasn’t Showered Yet

As the University of Nebraska entered its third week of classes, freshman Paul Foster began to notice something a little strange.

Foster’s roommate, fellow freshman and Education major James Orrin, set off for class, once again, without showering.

“I thought maybe he had a long weekend, and just didn’t have the energy to do it or something,” said a visibly distressed Foster. “Then I looked at his things and saw that he hasn’t even unpacked his towels yet.”

Further investigation revealed that Orrin had also neglected to open packages of soap, toothpaste, and shampoo.

“It’s concerning, to be honest,” said Foster. “I mean, I understand not showering every day. He doesn’t really do anything all that stressful, so it’s not like he has to wash sweat off or anything. But I figured common decency required that you shower and wash occasionally.”

As of press time, Foster is unsure what to do about his predicament.

“The smell isn’t too bad yet, I guess. Nothing I can’t deal with,” said Foster. “But it’s still not something I want to get worse. Maybe I’ll check the roommate agreement. Maybe I should call his mother?”
