Local Student Still Can't Explain Why He's Shirtless

Ever since eighth grade, Jason Taylor said he has felt comfortable removing his shirt in almost any public situation. Now a junior agricultural business major at UNL, Taylor’s bare-chestedness has begun to serve as a discomfort for many fellow students.

“He doesn’t even drink that often. It’s not like he’s tearing it off in celebration or because he wants to fight someone; he just stands there making people feel uneasy,” a friend of Taylor explained.

Several friends and loved ones have asked Taylor why he insists on remaining shirtless during the majority of their get-togethers. They said they’re worried that he may give the impression that he’s a complete douche, or worse, an insecure simpleton with a dark sexual past.

He often replies to their inquiries, even during unseasonably cold weather. “It’s so hot,” Taylor said.

Recent studies have shown that the unwarranted public solicitation of torsos makes acquiring new friends exponentially more difficult.

“No one ever says, ‘Hey, you should introduce me to that guy over there with his shirt off.’ Guys like Jason have to make their own way; mostly by wedging himself into conversations and keeping his hands close to his sides,” said Taylor’s best friend.

Taylor shows no signs of stopping his habitual shirtlessness, but hopefully his girlfriend can come up with some more excuses to use to cover for him at parties.

Why is ti that all those best described as "complete douche, or worse, an insecure simpleton with a dark sexual past" happen to be shirt-wearing people who try to convince the world of their normaility? If people want to be scared of the sicko, the rapist, the predator, look around at those who ARE convincinly normal, because they're the real threat, they're the ones who are GOOD at it. Better yet, look to your own judgement. It might be totally fucked up, like so many, the blind leading the blind. If one outsider makes you all feel weird, it says more about you than the outsider.

Thank you Art, I and others have found that Huskerzone.com is a great place for meuiangfnl discussion of Husker football in a respectful way no matter what the differences. We are all in this together inspite our seperate views. My prediction for the 07 football season is this: EVERYTHING hinges on the Wake Forest game. How the Wake Forest game goes, so goes the season. Everyone knows we will be up for a game like USC the next week. The character of the Huskers will be evident when facing a talented foe that everyone EXPECTS them to beat and, a number of folks are overlooking Wake Forest. If the Huskers lose, or, even if they win a close hard fought struggle over Wake Forest, the rest of the year could very well fall apart. If they win convincingly, then, there is no telling what they might do, ..NC??Just my thoughts. FYI, I am 52. I was playing High School footbll during the 70 and 71 championship teams so I followed them closely, knew them all by name. I was and remain in awe of no
