“We are unsure of his current location,” U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta admitted, “but our scouts indicate he has escaped with well known pop culture icon Waldo. We had no idea that Waldo was a supporter of tyranny, but we will use all of the United States’ vast resources to locate Gadhafi and his striped accomplice.”

Sources indicate that Gadhafi has attempted to contact Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to seek political asylum, but sources indicate Bouteflika refused to take the call.

“Do you think I’m stupid?” Bouteflika asked. “Do you think I want NATO blowing up my country as well? Gadhafi’s got Waldo on his side. They will never be found.”

Several members of the Gadhafi family have fled to other African nations in the past week, though none are thought to have received help from the American concealment expert. NATO began searching for the former Libyan leader amongst large, dense crowds of well-illustrated people.

Rebel forces have been told to detain any persons wearing red- and white-striped shirts as a means to aid the search.
