Double Entendre Party Promises To Make Big Splash On New Face Of UNL

“We’re willing to do whatever it takes to win over the student body,” said Lucas Chamberlain, vice presidential candidate and Double Entendre Party spokesperson. “Even if we have to spend all night with our faces buried in amendment proposals, we’re going to score with the students of this university.”
The Double Entendre Party’s announcement has come at a time when many students are feeling underwhelmed with this year's potential candidates and parties. “My needs just aren’t being fulfilled,” said sophomore Kathleen Woodward. “I want student government representatives who listen to my problems. All the guys from the Fusion Party ever do is get my signature for their campaign and then leave. I need someone who takes just as much pleasure signing my initiative."
Chamberlain said that the Double Entendre Party plans to mix new ideas with old policy that has been proven effective. One of the old programs the Double Entendre Party plans to tweak is 475-RIDE, an issue that has been a topic of debate during this campaign season. The Double Entendre Party plans to introduce an improved safe rides program. “We’re calling the program 'Reducing Intoxicated Driving Everywhere On Nebraska University System', or RIDE ON US. We’re so dedicated to making this program work that our own party representatives will personally be picking up students who call RIDE ON US, no matter what time, day or night,” Chamberlain said.
As the election approaches, the Double Entendre Party plans to elaborate on other policy they intend to make following the same format of improving upon previous programs. “We’re approaching some of the old issues from an entirely new position,” Chamberlain said. “There are a lot of really amazing changes we can make if we just reach around and try a different angle.”
