Brendan Fraser Wears George Of The Jungle Costume For 3rd Straight Halloween

“I figure, you know, why mess with a classic?” remarked an upbeat Fraser. His assistant was fastening a leopard-spotted crotch-rag — the calling card of George of the Jungle, the mystical jungle man Fraser played in a 1997 bio-pic and the man whom Fraser dressed up as yet again on Halloween night this past Saturday — around Fraser's waist.
“I think this makes three years straight for George now, but who’s counting?” Fraser said. “George not know how to count!” he added, a shit-eating grin upon his face. “Really, though — the kids love the George getup. And I love the kids.”
Fraser has been known to hide amid the hostas in his garden as trick-or-treaters approach the entryway of his mansion. He then emerges in the traditional George of the Jungle ensemble, shrieking the signature battle call.
“I think Mr. Fraser just likes having his shirt off,” commented Loretta Mitchell, mother of a trick-or-treater and a former lover of Fraser’s. “Brendan was so cut when he did that movie back then. His pectorals and traps just … just get my crotch tingling at the thought. Not to say that he don’t look good anymore. I’m just saying his shirt's not off in many movies these days.”
Fraser called it “a Halloween for the books,” completely oblivious to the redundancy and general sadness of the reality of the situation. But he left the door open for a change of pace with Halloween 2010.
“Really, there are any number of directions I could go,” Fraser said. “I’ve been in a lot of movies and stolen a lot of really expensive costumes over the past few decades.
"This year I would have liked to be Professor Trevor Anderson, my character in 'Journey to the Center of the Earth,'” he admitted as his voice took on a tone of seriousness. “But it’s hard to duplicate that 3-D effect. Did you know I was 3-D in that movie? You need specially engineered glasses to see that many dimensions.”
