Biden Pierces Right Ear In Support Of Gay Rights

In preparation for next year’s election, Vice President Joe Biden pulled a stunt that he hopes will solidify the already rock-solid support from gay and lesbian voters: Biden reportedly pierced one of his ears after a non-publicized beer summit with Iowa House Representatives.

According to sources who asked to remain anonymous, Biden was trying to appeal to a younger voting demographic. It was not until the next morning that he discovered the piercing’s appeal to another key demographic in the previous election. Biden was reportedly gazing into the mirror above his hotel jacuzzi Thursday morning when he recognized the implications of his new ear jewelery.

“At first I thought it just looked badass,” Biden told the DailyER staff. “Then I realized, ‘Oh, shit, that’s the gay ear, isn’t it’?”

The vice president asked the five people nearest to the elevator in his Iowa hotel if the right ear was the gay ear. The general consensus was that it was, indeed.

“I thought I’d just roll with it. Now I look hip to the young people and sympathetic to the gay and lesbian population. I killed two birds with one stone,” Biden said, leaning back on his chair with a sly smirk on his face, a silver hoop twinkling in his right ear lobe under the fluorescent lights.
