53 New California Ska Bands Called 'Prop 19'
| Published Nov 9, 2010
A spokesman for the group, Arnold Newsom, assured reporters that the name has absolutely nothing to do with the recently defeated proposal to legalize marijuana.
“C’mon man. That’s bullshit, thinking we’re all stoners,” said a visible inebriated Newsom, after a reporter merely said “hello” to him.
“Quit stereotyping us, man,” said Newsom, fiddling with a lighter and staring into space. “This has nothing to do with our love for something that’s TOTALLY less harmful than alcohol, cigarettes, cocaine and AIDS combined. It’s all about the music, man.”
All 53 bands debut albums are expected to be entitled “Revolution” and have an estimated release date “on or around” April 20th of next year.
